At the beginning of November, I had the opportunity to go to Atlanta, Georgia for an SGIA (Specialty Graphics and Imaging Association) exposition. While I was in Atlanta, I visited the World of Coca Cola, a museum dedicated to everything Coca Cola. After our initial welcome, we were required to watch a short film about the company and what they stand for. At first, my "marketing brain" turned on and I thought, "This is just going to be a marketing ploy about how great Coke is. I'm not going to fall for it." But I was wrong.
The film was amazing. By the end of it, I was very emotional and almost in tears. That really got me to enjoy the rest of my visit. I felt like I was at Disney world. After I got back to Arkansas, I immediately went out and bought Coke products. But I didn't just buy them because that's what was there, but because I wanted to support the brand. I had connected with the brand and wanted to show my loyalty by purchasing their product. For years, I had bounced between Pepsi and Coke, but now I have finally picked a side, and it is all because of my experience at the World of Coca Cola.
That kind of consumer relationship is what all businesses strive to achieve, and is why Coca Cola remains a giant in the marketing world.
What are some brands that you have a special connection with? Why are you so loyal to that brand?
Below are some pictures I took at the World of Coca Cola. I definitely recommend going! It is a great experience!
